Filming Timetable!

As you know that this time of the year can be very busy for us students with exams awaiting and university matters to handle which often makes us students frightened that we will not be able to give our best thus in order to avoid hectic situations, we've created a timetable which will help us be organised as it will help us identify who is doing what, where and what time and what other props have to be brought.

While planning, we imagined the whole music video infront of us and we found out that we need to film at 5 locations in order to have a succesful media product. Therefore we planned the timetable according to those five filming locations.

Storyboard

Better late than never! - We've finally been able to upload our story board that has been pending for long!

This story board consists of ideas that me and my partner have come up together with so that our media product is created. Each frame consists of scene we'll like to include in our product, it has a rough idea of it's duration, what kind of shot we are likely to use and also some extra notes that will help us.

The Animatic for Music Video and it's process.

Using our storyboard we are to create an Animatic explaining the steps we are going to take to create this music video. With Reference to Camera angles and notes.

To create this Animatic I've used Windows movie maker as i made it from home therefore that was the only facility available.

Firstly I dragged the pictures and music onto the timeline and then edited it. I also included a front title slide so that people know exactly what they're watching.

Filming Anniversary scene!

BIG  CHANGE!
Originally we were going to film our main girl and main boy in a living room spending time together and he receives an urgent call relating o his career and he leaves immediately leaving his girlfriend alone when she needed him...But of course he's unaware that he's neglecting his girlfriend. HOWEVER we had a last minute change when our female actor was unable to make it as she had her own media work pending and our male actor is unavailable weekdays... But Me and my partner didn't give up and as a pair we filmed me as the female artist and made changes to the story.

We named this scene as the 'ANNIVERSARY SCENE' where we shot a scene where the female actor which is the girlfriend of the male actor, preparing for a surprise dinner for their anniversary and the fact that our music video is based on the fact on how a man manages both his career and personal relationship but he is unaware that while he is giving much importance to his career he is actually neglecting his girlfriend. In this scene, as she is preparing for their anniversary thinking that her boyfriend remembers as he sent her a present but in actual fact it was just a casual present and he had actually forgotten their anniversary. The girl decorates the house and buys presents until she receives a text from her boyfriend who 'promised' to come the night suddenly can't come due to his recording session at the studio as he's recording for his album. The girlfriend is annoyed and upset but she doesn't show it because she knows how much this means to him...

BEHIND THE SCENES!

Since we filmed for a good 4 hours with retakes and different shots, we thought of capturing those fun but embarrassing moments via pictures and FILMING!
As we were only 2 people it was hard getting pictures at the same time as well as filming so we got a couple of pictures and left the camera on while we were preparing for our filming and also shots that were 'bad will also be in the video as it shows our effort!

Thursday...Unsuccessful filming?

Yesterday , we were meant to be finishing our filming however it was unsuccessful as our main actor was at work and our main girl wasn't able to make it either therefore me and my partner are continuing our planning of what else can we do to make our music video better and we have already uploaded the scenes shot so far for editing. We are now thinking about what should go on our digipak and magazine cover...
We are sure that we will be able to finish on the deadline!

Digipack Ideas

This is a picture that we may use as our digipak front cover as our album will be called 'STARGAZER'  as the song is called that too. I think that will be perfect as we need a picture of the actor gazing at the star, here it's not exactly gazing at the star but it was something like this that we needed. 

Another Picture: 

After looking at the Script's digipak, we are thinking that our digipak will include a picture cut from one of the scene of our music video to show "holding hands" which implies the fact the couple in my music video are in love.

Day 2 Filming- The Date Scene!

Since there is a rap scene that last around 1minute long, we had to have a different scene that is related to our main music video story for which we needed a new actor that could keep up with rapping. We made it as "THE DATE SCENE!" Since this was a last minute thought, we contacted our friend 'Brigitta' who had not only kindly accepted to play the girl role but also found a boy for us. It was pretty hesitating at first as I wasn't sure if he'll be able to handle such a fast rap as he isn't the kind to rap. But Thank our luck, He did it! Perfectly! 

I wasn't there while this was shot as i couldn't make it due to a personal reason but my partner was ver c co-operative and did an excellent job in my absence...I was took by surprise when he gave that shot as it was realistic! Feedback from my partner shows that this filming was also a success. This scene is very natural and sweet which is what our music video is about!
